Help for navigating life’s transitions and how you spend your dash

Tara Shaver

World Traveler. Shoe Junkie. Foodie. Baker. List Maker. Life Changer.

Hi! I’m Tara. Country mouse turned City Mouse. Born and raised in a small town in Alabama and living in the big city of Nashville, Tennessee for almost 20 years. Where does time go?

I have always been a helper and the one my friends and co-workers come to for support - and for advice. Through the years, the universe placed people in my path who seemed to need my special type of love and support in order find their way or to see a different perspective as they navigate life’s transitions.

Years ago, my friend Jenn dubbed my unique approach to helping others as “Tarapy.”

Let’s chat to find out how Tarapy may help you or someone you love as you navigate your “dash.”

Career Highlights

My first gig was at the Alabama Department of Senior Services, where I managed federal grant programs. During my time there, I launched the National Family Caregiver Support Program (Alabama Cares) and led the charge with the roll out of Medicare Part D. After that, I moved to Nashville to join AARP where I worked in Community Outreach for 10 years before joining a national team working with all things volunteer and specializing in volunteer leadership development and volunteer teams.

If you don’t like the road you are on, start paving a new one.
